Every Virginian deserves the freedom to make personal healthcare decisions without government interference. But right now, 41 states—including Virginia—restrict abortion access at some point during pregnancy. And a growing group of anti-abortion lawmakers in Richmond are pushing to take away even more of our freedoms. We can’t let that happen.
It’s time to protect reproductive freedom for good.
We have a historic opportunity to pass a constitutional amendment that guarantees the right to abortion and reproductive freedom in Virginia. This is a two-year effort, and we’ve already achieved a major victory: In February 2025, the legislature passed the amendment!
Now, we need your help to make this constitutional amendment a reality.
In 2026, we need our legislators to pass the amendment again so we can get it on the general election ballot in November 2026—where the people of Virginia will have the final say.
A constitutional amendment will protect access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including abortion, contraception, IVF, prenatal and postpartum care, and miscarriage support. Most Virginians already believe that the decision to have or grow a family belongs to individuals, not the government. Protecting reproductive freedom through a constitutional amendment upholds this vision and ensures that Virginians’ decisions remain beyond government control now and for future generations.
